Второй альбом лучшей группы на свете Slaughterhouse важен, напомню, потому, что он станет дебютным релизом на Shady Records. Исполнительный продюсер альбома - небезызвестный Marshall Mathers. Название - "welcome to: OUR HOUSE". Дата релиза - 15 мая.
Начинаем зачеркивать дни на календаре.
Первый микстейп нового года. Несмотря на дурацкую обложку, очень бодрый. Ждем альбом.
За что мы любим BET? За такие видео. Не знаю, что может быть лучше девяти минут от 6 МС из Shady 2.0.

Game наконец-то официально выпустил свой К.Р.А.С.Н.Ы.Й. альбом и по этому поводу рассказал о своих любимых 25 рэп-релизах. Необходимая оговорка касается, естественно, "The Chronic": впрочем, Game здесь высказывает правильную мысль о роли Snoop на этом диске:
You know how I want my list to look? The Chronic got to be by itself with no number, and then the list starts. The Chronic was just an incredible album, man. It was so well put together. It was actually more of a fucking Snoop album. Snoop was on every song on The Chronic and shit. It was like Snoop’s introduction to the world.

Короткий рекламный ролик альбома Bad Meets Evil, отсылающий к одноименному треку с диска "Slim Shady LP". Вспомним, типа, с чего все начиналось.
Лучшая новость ever. Об этом давно ходили слухи, все на это надеялись, но сейчас все наконец-то подтверждено официально. Eminem и Royce Da 5'9'', которые и сами по себе едва ли не лучшие МС современности, а вместе и вовсе образовывают взрывоопасный дуэт нечеловеческой мощи, все-таки выпустят совместный EP. Название из прошлого - "Bad Meets Evil". Дата релиза - 14 июня.
Eminem:
“Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are.”
Royce:
“I’m excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it while we’re working on the ‘Monster’ that will be the Slaughterhouse album. #TeamShady”

P.S. Уже выкладывал эту ссылку, но, на всякий случай, повторюсь: краткая история взаимоотношений Эма и Ройса и, самое главное, список всех совместных треков.
D12 зачем-то вновь приняли в свои ряды нового/старого участника по имени Fuzz Scoota и выпустили то ли микстейп, то ли альбом "Return Of The Dozen vol. 2". Впрочем, Eminem, кажется, уже слишком увлекся совсем другими артистами (и его можно понять). Но вот, например, можно послушать трек "Fame" с его участием.
Кстати, насчет тех самых "совсем других артистов". Недавно в сеть попал трек "Writer's Block", который подавался не только как очередной результат совместной работы Eminem и Royce Da 5'9'', но и как сингл последнего с дебютного альбома на Shady Records. Все это, конечно, очень смешно. Во-первых, Royce Da 5'9'' должен Graсie Productions еще один альбом - так что "Sucess is Certain" станет (скрестим пальцы) все-таки его последним инди-релизом. Во-вторых, "Writer's Block" действительно первый сингл с этого альбома, но Eminem в нем поучаствовал, скорее, ради галочки - чисто символически. Убедитесь сами.
Дебютный альбом старожила Shady Records “Euthanasia LP” ждём в начале лета. Что интересно, несмотря на наличие продакшена и куплетов от Эминема, релиз “Euthanasia LP” состоится на собственном лэйбле Кашиса под названием Bogish Brand Ent. А, судя по всему, для того, чтобы прокормить своих 11 (!!) детей, Cashis также планирует и большой дебют на обновлённом Shady. Альбом “Shady Street LP” также запланирован на этот год.
So here we are again with Dr. Dre’s camp scooping up some highly talented artists all at the same time. While parts of me hopes they actually do something while they’re there, the cynic suggests that I’ll be waiting for a Slaughterhouse or Yelawolf album for about as long as I’d waited for albums from Rakim, Truth Hurts, Eve, Busta Rhymes, The Firm, Hittman, King T, Joell Ortiz (see what I did there?), Stat Quo or Raekwon.

SANTA MONICA, CA – January 12, 2011 – Rap supergroup Slaughterhouse and budding superstar Yelawolf have been signed to Eminem’s Shady Records it was announced today.
“Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” says Eminem. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.”
Bringing together the East Coast, West Coast and Detroit in the middle, Slaughterhouse consists of Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5’9”. Most recently, Slaughterhouse was featured on “Session One,” a bonus track on Eminem’s 2010 blockbuster Recovery album. Eminem is expected to be personally involved in Slaughterhouse’s sophomore album scheduled for release in 2011.
Said Royce Da 5?9?: “It’s very exciting for me to reunite with Eminem years after our Bad Meets Evil project together. Slaughterhouse on Shady Records will be a force to reckon with.”
Late last year, Yelawolf released Trunk Muzik 0-60, a compilation of select tracks from his critically acclaimed 2010 mixtape Trunk Muzik, along with six previously unavailable songs. The Alabama native is currently in the studio recording his full length major label debut.
Said Yelawolf: “Considering where I’m from and the shit I’ve been through, it’s hard to put into words what partnering with Shady means to me, my team at Ghet-O-Vision, and my state of Alabama. I can tell you that when you’re willing to give your life up to see a dream through, the reward is great. And now that I’ve become an apprentice to one of the greatest artists in the world, my potential reaches beyond anything I ever imagined. Let’s kill this shit.”
Shady Records was founded in 1999 by Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg. D12, the label’s first signing, were also Shady’s first breakout stars, selling more than four million albums in the U.S. In 2002, the label released the quadruple platinum 8 Mile soundtrack, with its hit single “Lose Yourself”–the first hip-hop song to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Shady Records then partnered with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment to ink 50 Cent, who subsequently has sold more than 23 million albums worldwide. Of Shady’s 11 albums to date, four have earned U.S. multiplatinum certification, three others platinum (including the compilation Eminem Presents: The Re-Up) and two gold. The label has sold over 40 million albums worldwide.
When I said 'hip-hop is dead' a few years ago, I felt we'd gotten away from the great wordplay and storytelling," says Nas. "There's a place for the party shit and a place for the gangster shit. I focus on the guys that are always pushing themselves forward."

This song is huge. It sounds like Broadway. It's New York's modern anthem.
10. "Queen Bitch" - Lil' Kim, 1996
At the time, females rappers didn't appeal to the street, but Kim came with the vulgarity, sexuality and gangster shit.
I feel like it's not fair, because he can do so many different things with his voice. Everybody did they verse already. Em did his verse first, Royce heard it first, did his second, then Crook did his, and them Em rewrote his. Joell's is done, but I think he might be rewriting his.
It wouldn't be as difficult to do a song with Jay-Z, because he's just an incredible rapper. Eminem, he can give you 20 different voices, he can to 20 million different things in a verse. It's not really about incredible rapping with him. I think I'm an incredible rapper; I put my rapping up against anybody else's rapping. But it's more than rapping with Eminem.
